Stocking up on Office Supplies

When people think of “stocking up” during time of economic uncertainty, they often think in terms of food and basic household staples. If you are into preparing for the future or getting good prices by buying things in bulk, you might consider applying the same strategy to your home business. Recently, I purchased several ink cartridges for my computer printer. I decided to stock up and purchase a few of each color so that I could get a discount and would have a goodly supply. I also discovered that the shipping is cheaper overall ordering things in bulk like that. … Continue reading

Back to School Sales

It’s that time of year again! Yep, stock up time. Anyone who doesn’t stock up on a year’s worth (or more) of school supplies in August is just throwing away money. I was in Staples yesterday and there were parents mulling around the school supplies, working from their school’s lists and spending over $100. If they’d started shopping in June, the bill would’ve been considerably less. In an effort to have those $100 per student bills spent at their stores, most office retailers offer back-to-school savings. The loss leaders are excellent! This week, Staples incredible deals include a penny for … Continue reading

10 Reams of HP paper for only $7 shipped

Weren’t computers supposed to usher in a paperless age? Instead, I find myself with more paperwork than ever. Between printing out instructions and audit forms for mystery shopping, printing extra math problems for the children, and keeping hard copy records, we go through a decent amount of paper every month. That doesn’t even count what the kids are using for schoolwork, artwork, Elisha practicing his origami, or just doodling. I’m constantly picking up papers to toss, file, or send with DH to work. I wonder when, if ever, they’ll discover that Daddy’s special file at work for their drawings is … Continue reading
